Thank You for Winter Camp

Every year over Presidents Day weekend, the Youth Ministry of Faith Bible Church goes away for winter camp. This year, in mid-February, we were blessed to have Jared Millican teach us four messages from Ephesians 6. The teaching theme was “Battle Ready.” Jared encouraged us from Scripture to be constantly aware that we are engaged in a spiritual battle, and that God has provided us with appropriate armor and weaponry to win the battle – we must continually depend upon Him. On Saturday afternoon, Jenni Rainbow and I led guys’ and girls’ seminars on what the Bible teaches about gender and roles.

Aside from the teaching, our kitchen crew fed us amazingly, our program staff kept us entertained with exciting activities, games, and team-building challenges, and our brilliant team of volunteer leaders gave all of their time and energy to lead our 78 students in fun, deepening relationships, and in spiritually challenging small-group conversations.

Thank you for contributing financially to make camp happen. We had a couple dozen students who needed some financial assistance. And, thank you for praying for spiritual fruit at camp; please continue to pray for the youth staff and students as we meet and study God’s Word together throughout the year.
