Grounded in Jude 3's call to contend for the faith once for all delivered to the saints, this class traces Progressive Christianity back to its roots in classic theological liberalism and examines where it diverges from historic biblical Christianity — on the authority of Scripture, the identity and work of Christ, the nature of sin, and the mission of the church. Drawing on J. Gresham Machen and Michael Kruger's The Ten Commandments of Progressive Christianity, Josh walks through the movement's core tenets and gives particular attention to its claims about judgment, questioning, and sexuality. The session closes with a set of biblical passages for discernment and encouragement.

Josh serves as Resident College Pastor for Faith's college ministry, Doxa. He and his wife, Pam, have three children.
