Summer Study Guide

We begin this summer studying and preaching through Ephesians. Ephesians is a magnificent letter from the Apostle Paul describing the great blessings we have in Christ. This leads Paul to praise God and to pray that his readers would understand the greatness of these blessings and live in the reality of them. As he unfolds the blessings every believer in Christ has, we see that God the Father has loved us the same way He loved His Son. We have every blessing that the Son has from the Father because we are in Him. Paul prays that they would be strengthened so that by faith, Christ would dwell powerfully and effectively in them, and they would grasp His love and be filled up with His love in how they treat each other and live in the world. May we all be further transformed into the image of Christ through our study of Ephesians so that God will be glorified in the church and in Christ Jesus!

This summer growth guide is not designed to be used for a larger growth group gathering. It is meant to be used individually or even better with one or two others so that all of us grow in the skill of reading the Bible together. A goal the elders have for all our members is that each of us would be able to read the Bible faithfully on our own and in turn read it together with others. One of the best ways for us to encourage each other in our faith is to read the Bible together, so this guide is aimed at helping us to do that.
